Sweet Pea Stamps Blog Hop

Stamp: Sweet Pea Stamps - Ching Chou Kuik's "The Moth"

As a Christmas gift to Lynette, owner of Sweet Pea Stamps we are throwing this blog hop! We are so glad you have decided to join in the fun - today you will find many beautiful creations made by the Sweet Pea Stamps design team. Please see the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog for more details.

*********************************************************************************

One of my favorite pens to play with lately is the SAKURA CLEAR GLAZE PEN. I use it over my Copic markers once I'm completely done coloring. Here, I went over the flowers, butterflies and the flower accents on her kimono. It gives a sort of enameled or embossed look to it. I wish I could get a good picture....but here you can see where I added it.....It's actually shiny and clear in real life.

Oh, Alice Chapters 42 & 43

DIGI images: Pixie Dust Studios -"White Rabbit"
{and a very special image created for the OAC blog!! Thank you!!}

Hold on to your seats this is going to be a LONG one! Here are my Oh, Alice chapters for this week and last week!

CHAPTER 43:CHRISTMAS-GREETINGS. [FROM A FAIRY TO A CHILD.]
LADY dear, if Fairies may
For a moment lay aside
Cunning tricks and elfish play,
'Tis at happy Christmas-tide.
We have heard the children say—
Gentle children. whom we love—
Long ago, on Christmas Day,
Came a message from above.
Still, as Christmas-tide comes round,
They remember it again—
Echo still the joyful sound"
Peace on earth, good-will to men!"
Yet the hearts must childlike be
Where such heavenly guests abide;
Unto children, in their glee,
All the year is Christmas-tide!
Thus, forgetting tricks and play
For a moment, Lady dear,
We would wish you, if we may,
Merry Christmas, glad New Year!
Christmas, 1867.

Welcome down the rabbit hole once again my friends. This poem by Lewis Carroll was found in the back of a copy of Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There.

This week's CHALLENGE:
Get into the Christmas spirit. The challenge is to use red, green, + one color. You can still use other colors for hair and skin. Just make the main use of color red, green, + one.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Pixie Dust Studio. You must check out her Down the Rabbit Hole line. CUTE! The lucky winner will receive your choice of 2 digital images. Check out the OAC blog for details.

Now here is what our DT have created for you this week!

CHAPTER 42: The Flowers are Talking!
`O Tiger-lily,' said Alice, addressing herself to one that was waving gracefully about in the wind, `I wish you could talk!' `We can talk,' said the Tiger-lily: `when there's anybody worth talking to." Alice was so astonished that she could not speak for a minute: it quite seemed to take her breath away. At length, as the Tiger-lily only went on waving about, she spoke again, in a timid voice -- almost in a whisper. `And can all the flowers talk?' `As well as all can,' said the Tiger-lily. `And a great deal louder.'

This week we were sponsered by 'Some Odd Girl'. Such adorable Digi Stamps!! The DT were given so many amazing images to create with this week. I of course had to pick MerMae!! Thank you 'Some Odd Girl'!

Oh, Alice Ch. 41: Off with their heads....

Stamps: The Greeting Farm - "Flutter Anya" & "Fleur Anya" combined

CHAPTER 41: Off With Their Heads!

`Let's go on with the game,' the Queen said to Alice; and Alice was too much frightened to say a word, but slowly followed her back to the croquet-ground.The other guests had taken advantage of the Queen's absence, and were resting in the shade: however, the moment they saw her, they hurried back to the game, the Queen merely remarking that a moment's delay would cost them their lives. All the time they were playing the Queen never left off quarrelling with the other players, and shouting `Off with his head!' or `Off with her head!' Those whom she sentenced were taken into custody by the soldiers, who of course had to leave off being arches to do this, so that by the end of half an hour or so there were no arches left, and all the players, except the King, the Queen, and Alice, were in custody and under sentence of execution.

Welcome back to the land of wonder and where the saying, 'Off with her head' is a regular statement! Well here in wonderland this week, that is exactly what we want you to do. This week we want you to take your stamps and yep you guessed it,'Off with their heads'. So we are asking you to alter your stamps and mix it up a little by giving them a new head or body.

Up for grabs this week is a Scor Buddy from the lovely people at http://www.scrappingreatdeals.com/. Please see challenge details over at the OAC blog.

Farm Fresh Friday Sparkly Birthday

Stamp: The Greeting Farm - Miko from "Roll Call"

Welcome to Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm.
Today's challenge: Make a Birthday card with SPARKLE!!

Please, see the full FFF details over at the TGF blog.

I love wood projects! Lucky me, I have a super crafty dad that can make them!! So, he sent me a big box of perfectly cut pieces of wood...just the right size for ATCs and another box full of wood houses and seahorses, too!! And, there's a box of teeny houses on the way!!!

SO fun!!! (THANKS DAD!) There are so many possibilities with these. And, it's a great way to 'display' your favorite Anya or Ian creations! For my sparkle today, I used glimmer mist, Stickles, and a sparkly Maya Rd. chandelier drop.

Here's a mermaid ATC version...I stamped and then painted Mermaid Anya on Claudine Hellmuth's sticky backed canvas sheets with various types of acrylic paint and then painted over it all with Chandelier Glimmer Glam....

Hey everyone!

The Oh, Alice Challenge blog is having a "just for fun" post today that doesn't follow a book excerpt or poem...just a good ol' fashioned HALLOWEEN theme!

After all, tomorrow IS Halloween and it's time to showcase some fun projects, and many of us are using the Graphic 45 special line of papers, Halloween in Wonderland!

My first card features a Halloween Sweet Pea Stamp by Elaine Cox. I colored it with Copics and then sprayed a whole lot of Tattered Angel's glimmer mist in my fav color...Coffee Shop.

Copic Markers: Cape/Hat: W7, W6, W3, E70, E71, RV00; Skin: E51, E42; Hair: W3, E40, B60, G000, BV31; Dress: E40, B41, W3; Tree: E35, E33, E74, RV06; Background: V09, RV06, B00

Just for fun, I also included a wall hanging decoration made with one of the keys from the Maya Road key album and papers from Graphic 45.

We really hope you enjoy our projects today and that you feel like playing along! Today our VERY generous DT member Ky is offering up a set of Alice stamps by Elaine Cox! Even more of a reason to get creepy or crafty this week and show us what you can do!

Farm Fresh Friday: COLOR CHALLENGE of kraft, pink, aqua

Is there a prize, you ask? Well, yes, as a matter of fact...there are TWO! ONE lucky commenter who visits the DT blogs and leaves a comment on today's post (on the TGF Blog) will be entered to WIN a Cheeky Xmas set!

Here's the list of DT members participating today:

The OTHER Cheeky Xmas set is UP FOR GRABS as this week's FFF prize!, so be sure to play along!

For my tags today, I started with kraft tags. For the one above I used 2 Copic Markers. RV000 and V12. Just to give it a little shading. I also used a Sakura white paint pen in extra fine and a Stardust clear gel pen for accents. The bottom tags I left uncolored.

These make very fast tag projects for gifts. The "Sparkly Cheers" is perfect for a champagne or other bubbly treat!! The set comes with the fabulous 3 sentiments I used here and the cute little tree button that is easily punched with the green Marvy 1" circle punch!!
