HIP HOP HANGOVER FRIDAY is here!

Hip Hop Hangover

Happy Hip Hop Hangover Friday everyone! If you want to view everyone's HHH creations today, check back in at the Unity blog for a complete list: http://www.theunitystampco.blogspot.com/

I didn't get to play along with the Hip Hop challenges today, so when my night owl kicked in tonight (yes, I really am posting this at nearly 3am) I decided to start warming up for the Kit of the Month Blog Hop! [Coming soon, May 15th-17th!]

For this mini shadow box, I used the April KOTM. The beautiful tree line (look at those cute little birds in the trees!) and butterfly line are from this kit. The little bird with the heart is from the Love Birdies set.

I attached the tree line to the back of the box, the butterfly line to the front of the box, and used a double layer of pop dots for the bird. I colored the trees and the bird with Copic Markers, and used sponge daubers with VersaMagic Chalks for the rest of the project. I also added Black Diamond Stickles to the butterflies and Diamond stickles to the bird, cause I had to have sparkle!

The little shadow box is a Ready-To-Go product by C&T Publishing. You can also save up packaging and boxes and recycle by making your own with a craft knife and some acetate.

Right now Unity has an amazing sale going on! See the specials here.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and enjoy the rest of your HHH tour!

ETA: Got a pic in the light of day! You can see the depth a little better in this one.

A DOUBLE POST TODAY?!?!

A double post....I must have drank too much coffee!! Course, the last post was at 1am. (I am a major night owl.) Does that count?

I wanted to share this preview with you. I am so excited about this new line of gals by The Greeting Farm!!This is Dahlia. Isn't she amazing! I cannot tell you how much fun I've had coloring her. TGF's detailed stamps provide endless coloring possibilities! These girls are so fun. So far there are three new girls that will be released (along with some other awesome sets) on May 1st!!
You can get a peek at some of the new stamps, while they are still posted over at the TGF blog. The TGF blog had a presale special for their Farmer's Market today. Be sure to check out the Farmer's Markets each month for great deals. With the exception of this week, the Famer's Market is usually held the third Thursday of the month.

For this card I used Memory Box paper in Brandywine and Sparkle. I love Memory Boxes 6x6 paper packs! The flowers are made from Prima DP and MM Halloween DP.I used some Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Broken China on the flowers, which is not showing up well in the photos. I colored her in with Copics.

The "Be Happy" sentiment is from the Lucky Bunnies set.So, don't forget to get your new girls, Dahlia, Annika, and Reeta on May 1st!!

Playing with New Embossing Powders

I've been busy experimenting the last few days. Trying to get out some of my old supplies (like chalks) that I rarely use any more. I have so many supplies I neglect. I am trying to incorporate them in projects.

This was one of my experiments with my new Amour EP from Sparkle N'Sprinkle. Fun stuff! I embossed the Flutter Anya image from The Greeting Farm. I then bleached out the black slightly and used chalks to color in. I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist to give it some sparkle. I used Distress Stickles in Fired Brick on the Prima flowers. Love that stuff!
The scallop heart punches are by Fiskars.
[Ugh, it's SO hard to photograph black cardstock!]

DEMOS TODAY: Unity Stamp Co. and Sparkle N'Sprinkle at CSS!

If you are in the San Diego area, stop by my Unity demo at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway. I will be demonstrating the Unity system from 2-4pm today, Saturday the 18th. Come see how easy it is to use!!
I will also be demonstrating the Sakura Quickie glue pen. Both of these cards were glittered with the Quickie (it really is fast and easy!) and Sparkle N'Sprinkle glitters. Too bad that glitter won't photograph! I tried to get a good pic, but it just wouldn't cooperate. It is really pretty stuff! So much sparklier in person!
It shows up slightly better in this photo.

Stop by to see all the new Unity and Sparklies!!!!!!!!!

Halloween in April?! And Case of the Curious Card III!

Why not?? There's Christmas in July, so why not Halloween in April? I LOVE my Halloween stamps, but usually don't get much made. So, this year I'm starting early. REALLY early!

I made Witch Anya with Princess Anya and added a witch hat. The frog is from Down by the Pond. Both by The Greeting Farm.

I wanted to do a green witch in honor of Wicked...oh, a Wicked Anya! And, a scene with Witch Anya turning Ian into a frog....but I am worn out from a week of stamping madness.
So, they'll have to wait.

I got my swaps for the Club Anya VIP Members finished! Whoohoo!! Remind me never to take the last spot at the last minute EVER again! What was I thinking....

The swap was hosted over at http://www.papercraftplanet.com/. Lots of fun to be had over there. So, if you haven't joined already, be sure to join Club Anya and TGF's group!

Isn't this stamp adorable!?! This is the newly released Flutter Anya!! I created these for Case of the Curious Card Challenge III over at The Greeting Farm's blog.

It's easy to join in! Just create a card based on the card by Jessica. And, post it to the TGF galleria under contests/challenges -CC3!

Here is Queen TitANYA. She's borrowed Princess Anya's crown. Colored with Copics. Her blue hue is Moon White.

My Cute Stamps Easter Stamp Giveaway!

These ATC's were made with the Your Tweet stamp set from My Cute Stamps. I love making ATC's. Especially since I can recycle!! I have a huge box of boo-boos. You know, those times you stamp an image and it doesn't come out perfect. I cannot bring myself to throw them out. So, I save them to make ATC's, since ATC's give me the freedom to be more artsy and alter them.

So, on to the giveaway! My Cute Stamps is holding an Easter Stamp Giveaway at their blog: Creating Cupcakes!

I really love these stamps! Especially all of the adorable owls!! Oh and check out this cute monster set called Eek! A Monster! I need that set!

By entering their giveaway, you can win this cute Easter set: Jelly Beans
You can enter by posting your favorite set on your blog and submitting a link to your entry on their blog. Here's my favorite set: You're Tweet!

Here's some cards I posted earlier with this fun set:

Storage Idea!!

Okay, so I just wanted to share a tip. I love these Iris boxes for storing my TGF stamps! I got the small one at Joann's and it came with 6 containers, that fit snugly inside. I then needed to upgrade (big surprise) to the larger one, which I purchased at Michael's and it came with 12 containers! Each container fits 2 sets perfectly! Or, 4 Anya/Ians. They are acid free/photo safe, so I am assuming they are safe for the stamps as well. And, look, a handle, so I can take them with me everywhere I go!!!

Another NON-Square creation!

More creations inspired by The Greeting Farm's "Don't be a Square" challenge. These are fast and easy gift card tags.

These are made with Princess Anya and Mermaid Anya.
First, I made a seam in my SU Kraft cardstock. I stamped the image along the seam, folded and cut around the image. I wanted a vintage sort of look, so I mainly used light colors in my Copics: Moon White, Sugared Almond Pink, Sea Green, Pale Lilac and accented with darker shades. I really love how easy Copics are to use on the Kraft cardstock!!!
I then highlighted the hair with Snow Angel Glimmer Mist.
I stamped To/From on the inside so that they are ready to use!

Don't be a Square Challenge at TGF!!

The Never Ever Pirate Ship...CLICK PIC FOR LARGER VIEW.

Hello Everyone!! Sorry for the lapse in time. I was feeling a little under the weather. But, what a pick me up The Greeting Farm's sneak peeks were!!! Look at these NEW soon to be realeased girls! I absolutely love them and I cannot wait to get my hands on them!!!

Here's my entry for the Don't be a Square Challenge at TGF, using the new Never Ever stamp set. (Which at the time of this entry is back in stock!!)
It's a card shaped as a pirate ship. I cut the boat shape out of a piece of folded cardstock. I then cut strips and distressed them and attached them to the card.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back with all those projects I promised!

New Releases at The Greeting Farm Today!

ETA: Below is a sneak peek of some of the projects I'll be posting tomorrow. This is from the Down on the Pond set.

Today is release day over at The Greeting Farm! You can purchase all the new sets here. There are some AMAZING sets today!!! If they are sold out by the time you get there, never fear, Marie will restock them!!

This is my favorite of the new releases, it's the Never Ever stamp set. I'll be creating a lot with this set!!! I'm such a huge Peter Pan fan. Who doesn't love Tink??! And, Marie has designed the cutest little Tink stamp EVER!!!

I am so thrilled that Marie is creating Storybook themed sets!!! There is also a Wonderland set that I have pictured below.

Here is a close-up of my card. I colored in with Copics. I mainly used Moss, Mignonette, Lime, Frost Blue, Aqua, Buttercup, Sand, Light Walnut, Skin White, Blush, and Anise.

I used Glimmer Mist to splatter the background and highlight some of the designs on Wendy's dress. I used Stickles for Tink's fairy dust and wings.

To make the book Wendy is holding, I stamped and cut out a second book. I colored it with the Light Walnut Copic, and then ran it through the Cuttlebug and distressed it with some brown ink, to make it look like an embossed leather vintage book. I then added some pearls to the binding and bling to the dress.

These are the stamp sets I used for the card. Never Ever, Wishing Tree, and Wonderland.

The next release will be April 15th over at Club Anya. There will be all new Anya/Ian stamps!! You don't want to miss it!!

Stay safe from the April Foolers out there!! Stop by later......I'll be back this evening with MORE projects!!!!!!!!!!

Also don't forget to stop by the other DT members blogs for great projects! Today, Maria has a stunning Never Ever card, Kadie has an adorable Down by the Pond card, Melyssa has some amazing Grad Ian/Anya cards, and Tammy has not one, but two Susie Surprise posts!!!
