Later Sk8r Preview Day Two!

{click pics for larger view}
Stamps: The Greeting Farm - "Later Sk8r"
Hey everyone!
I'm back for another preview from The Greeting Farm!
A new 4x6 sheet featuring a Miss Anya & My Guy Ian in "Later Sk8R".

Available for purchase beginning on Sunday, August 1st!

Today we are also teaming up, Farmers and Team Anya alike for another sample soiree! Today it's OUR turn to play along w/ Team Anya using a FABULOUS Saturday Sketch challenge by Pam!

And, for today's card I got to test out my new Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze! LOVE this sparkly goodness. And, I do mean SPARKLY! First I embossed the images in black and then I painted over it with the Glam and added some touches of Glaze. These are like washes of color so you can layer them all. The Glams seem very liquid-y in the bottle, but they dry to an almost Mod Podge feel.
Colors: Glam-Chandelier (LOVE!), Tide Pool, Hay Ride; Glaze-Paradise Pink

Here you can slightly see the Mod Podge like finish....

Pam's fun sketch:

Be sure to head on over to Club Anya & Friends for all the details of how to play along this week, and be sure to visit ALL the DT's blogs because ONE LUCKY COMMENTER on the Club Anya and Friend's blog today will WIN THIS SET!!!

Thanks again for stopping by today and we'll see you back TOMORROW NIGHT at 7pm CST for a one hour chat on PCP, our HUGE customer Blog Hop on the TGF blog, and we cannot WAIT to celebrate TGF's second birthday with you!!!

Oh, Alice Ch. 23 Windows & Broken Glass

Stamp: Sweet Pea Stamps - Elaine Cox's "Croquet Game"

Chapter 24 - Windows and Broken Glass

`Now tell me, Pat, what's that in the window?'

`Sure, it's an arm, yer honour!' (He pronounced it `arrum.')

`An arm, you goose! Who ever saw one that size? Why, it fills the whole window!'

`Sure, it does, yer honour: but it's an arm for all that.'

`Well, it's got no business there, at any rate: go and take it away!'

There was a long silence after this, and Alice could only hear whispers now and then; such as, `Sure, I don't like it, yer honour, at all, at all!' `Do as I tell you, you coward!' and at last she spread out her hand again, and made another snatch in the air. This time there were TWO little shrieks, and more sounds of broken glass. `What a number of cucumber-frames there must be!' thought Alice. `I wonder what they'll do next! As for pulling me out of the window, I only wish they COULD! I'm sure I don't want to stay in here any longer!'

Hello friends...it's CRYSTAL CLEAR that today you're all joining us for a fabulous challenge here at Oh, Alice! We have all sorts of lovely techniques for you to try today!

Your mission today with Oh, Alice, should you choose to accept it, is to try a technique using cracked glass, crystal effects (or glossy accents), or a window stamp/technique. There are TONS of possibilities with today's challenge and we are SO ready to see all of the fabulous creations you enter!

For my card today I used the fastest broken glass technique with Ranger's Distress Pain in Rock Candy. I put on one layer, dried it with a heat tool (not too much, you don't want to melt it) and added another thick layer. The cracks are very teeny, so they barely show up in the pic. I added some Tea Dye Distress ink for a vintage look. Not as good as when you do the longer cracked glass versions, but if you want fast and easy, this is it. Just be sure that it is completely dry before you flip it over to add adhesive...otherwise any gooey bits will stick and come off...you can see at the top where I nearly scalped poor Alice. ;o)

Little Red....Witch?

Stamps: My Cute Stamps - "Picnic with Little Red" & " Oooga Boooga"

I am already in the Halloween mood! There are so many AMAZING Halloween releases coming out at Summer CHA! I cannot wait!! I love Halloween!

For today's card I turned little Miss Red into a batty little witch. The bat from "Oooga Boooga" is one of the cutest bats ever! I stamped the background with Memento London Fog. I have 3 levels of pop dots, so I added some glossy accents to the bat and pumpkin to make them sturdier.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Oh, Alice! CH. 23: Ravens and Writing Desks

Stamps: My Cute Stamps - "Spunky Nature" & "You're Tweet"
Supplies: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist & Crafter's Workshop 6x6 Template

CHAPTER 23: Ravens and Writing Desks...

The Hatter opened his eyes very wide on hearing this; but all he said was, "Why is a raven like a writing-desk?"
"Come, we shall have some fun now!" thought Alice. "I'm glad they've begun asking riddles. — I believe I can guess that," she added aloud.
"Do you mean that you think you can find out the answer to it?" said the March Hare.
"Exactly so," said Alice.
"Then you should say what you mean," the March Hare went on.
"I do," Alice hastily replied; "at least--at least I mean what I say--that's the same thing, you know."

Hello everyone!

This week, we challenge you to use BIRDS on your card or papercrafting project!

Be sure to upload your card or creation using InLinkz at the Oh, Alice blog here!

My samples today are ATCs. I printed an excerpt from 'Alice in Wonderland' on plain old printer paper, stamped My Cute Stamps blooms on it, cut them out, layered with pop dots, and edged with Stickles. The backgrounds were created with Glimmer Mist and Colorbox inks used with the newest Crafter's Workshop 6x6 templates (there are 12x12 versions as well). Love these as glimmer mist screens!

It's Farm Fresh Friday, Digi-know?

DIGI - The Greeting Farm - "Freaky Flutter"

Welcome to another fun edition of Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm.
This week's challenge: Digi-know?
Use a Digital stamp and a new technique you've been wanting to try or have recently gotten into.

For my card, I wanted to do a shabby chic vintage look with pastels. As most of you know, I'm more of a bright & dark gal when it comes to coloring. But, I absolutely love vintage pastels. When I craft I use them a lot, but not necessarily when I'm making cards with my Copics. I think it's because my Copic coloring tends to be so bright. Even this card was a little more vivid than I anticipated. I'm going to try harder to blend this look more often with my Copics.

For the Tattered Angels butterfly, I used glimmer mist in Daffodil, blotted off the excess to keep it light, and let it dry, then sanded it and added Colorbox Orchid ink. Orchid is a gorgeous candy pink color. I then swiped it with some Martha Stewart glue and covered it in glitter. I dyed the seam binding with some Copic Various refill in a mister.

Copic Markers: B00, B02, BG0000, BG01, BG05, BG10, BG15, BG34, G000, G20, YG11, E40, W-3, FYG1, FYG2

Be sure to check out the TGF blog for an important announcement regarding the TGF 2nd Anniversary Customer Blog Hop!!! Hope you sign up and play along!!!

Oh, Alice! Ch. 20 "In My Country..."

Oh, Alice! Color Challenge: Red, White, & Blue

Chapter 20: In My Country...

"Well, in our country," said Alice, still panting a little, "you'd generally get to somewhere else -- if you ran very fast for a long time, as we've been doing."
"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. "Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!"

(Through the Looking Glass, Chapter 2)
