Farm Fresh Friday Sparkly Birthday

Stamp: The Greeting Farm - Miko from "Roll Call"

Welcome to Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm.
Today's challenge: Make a Birthday card with SPARKLE!!

Please, see the full FFF details over at the TGF blog.

I love wood projects! Lucky me, I have a super crafty dad that can make them!! So, he sent me a big box of perfectly cut pieces of wood...just the right size for ATCs and another box full of wood houses and seahorses, too!! And, there's a box of teeny houses on the way!!!

SO fun!!! (THANKS DAD!) There are so many possibilities with these. And, it's a great way to 'display' your favorite Anya or Ian creations! For my sparkle today, I used glimmer mist, Stickles, and a sparkly Maya Rd. chandelier drop.

Here's a mermaid ATC version...I stamped and then painted Mermaid Anya on Claudine Hellmuth's sticky backed canvas sheets with various types of acrylic paint and then painted over it all with Chandelier Glimmer Glam....

Chapter 39: Nothin' but Tea...

"Alice felt dreadfully puzzled. The Hatter's remark seemed to have no sort of meaning in it, and yet it was certainly English. `I don't quite understand you,' she said, as politely as she could. `
The Dormouse is asleep again,' said the Hatter, and he poured a little hot tea upon its nose.
The Dormouse shook its head impatiently, and said, without opening its eyes, `Of course, of course; just what I was going to remark myself.' `
Have you guessed the riddle yet?' the Hatter said, turning to Alice again. `
No, I give it up,' Alice replied: `what's the answer?' `
I haven't the slightest idea,' said the Hatter. `
Nor I,' said the March Hare.
Alice sighed wearily. `I think you might do something better with the time,' she said, `than waste it in asking riddles that have no answers.'
`If you knew Time as well as I do,' said the Hatter, `you wouldn't talk about wasting IT. It's HIM.' `
I don't know what you mean,' said Alice. `
Of course you don't!' the Hatter said, tossing his head contemptuously. `I dare say you never even spoke to Time!'"

A BIG warm WONDERLAND welcome to Tracy Evans, our November/December Guest!

Oh, Alice Ch. 38: Tickets, Please!

DP & Tickets: Pink Paislee House of 3
Butterflies: MM Paper Reverie

Oh, Alice Ch. 38: Tickets, Please!

`Tickets, please!' said the Guard, putting his head in at the window. In a moment everybody was holding out a ticket: they were about the same size as the people, and quite seemed to fill the carriage.

`Now then! Show your ticket, child!' the Guard went on, looking angrily at Alice. And a great many voices all said together (`like the chorus of a song,' thought Alice), `Don't keep him waiting, child! Why, his time is worth a thousand pounds a minute!

`I'm afraid I haven't got one,' Alice said in a frightened tone: `there wasn't a ticket-office where I came from." And again the chorus of voices went on. `There wasn't room for one where she came from. The land there is worth a thousand pounds an inch!'

-- Chapter 3, Through the Looking Glass

Greetings friends in Wonderland! Our challenge this week is sponsored by our own Tasha who is generously donating a $15 gift certificate to Stamping Bella! Please see the OAC blog for details.

CHALLENGE:
You can make a ticket, use a ticket stamp, use a real ticket. Use one ticket or a whole row of tickets! (LOVE this challenge Lynne!)

Today I used the fabulous new resist paper from Pink Paislee's House of 3 collection. It's resist embossed so you can spray it with Tattered Angels glimmer mist. Here, I used Moonlight, Patina, and Jingle Bells. Those adorable Alice stamps are by the incredible artist Danita and are for sell at Jenny Doh's fun & inspirational Crescendoh shop. I stamped them on the House of 3 tickets (these come in a roll of 100...LOVE them!)

This week we are bidding farewell to longtime design team members Jen and Suzi. Thanks for being such amazing teammates!! You both rock Wonderland! I will miss you!! Please welcome, Donna, our amazing October guest designer. We are so glad you are staying where it's always time for tea! Be sure to check back next week for to find out who our guest designer will be for the holiday season!

Oh, Alice Ch. 37: Halloween in Wonderland

*PLEASE scroll down for today's The Greeting Farm preview**

Stamp: Sweet Pea Stamps - Elaine Cox "Twilight Halloween"

Hey everyone!

The Oh, Alice Challenge blog is having a "just for fun" post today that doesn't follow a book excerpt or poem...just a good ol' fashioned HALLOWEEN theme!

After all, tomorrow IS Halloween and it's time to showcase some fun projects, and many of us are using the Graphic 45 special line of papers, Halloween in Wonderland!

My first card features a Halloween Sweet Pea Stamp by Elaine Cox. I colored it with Copics and then sprayed a whole lot of Tattered Angel's glimmer mist in my fav color...Coffee Shop.

Copic Markers: Cape/Hat: W7, W6, W3, E70, E71, RV00; Skin: E51, E42; Hair: W3, E40, B60, G000, BV31; Dress: E40, B41, W3; Tree: E35, E33, E74, RV06; Background: V09, RV06, B00

Just for fun, I also included a wall hanging decoration made with one of the keys from the Maya Road key album and papers from Graphic 45.

We really hope you enjoy our projects today and that you feel like playing along! Today our VERY generous DT member Ky is offering up a set of Alice stamps by Elaine Cox! Even more of a reason to get creepy or crafty this week and show us what you can do!

Why so much sparkle?? Well.....on to the Oh, Alice Challenge....

CHAPTER 29: What makes you SHINE? (or SPARKLE :)
`Why, what are YOUR shoes done with?' said the Gryphon.

`I mean, what makes them so shiny?' Alice looked down at them, and considered a little before she gave her answer. `They're done with blacking, I believe.' `

Boots and shoes under the sea,' the Gryphon went on in a deep voice, `are done with a whiting. Now you know.' `

And what are they made of?' Alice asked in a tone of great curiosity.

`Soles and eels, of course,' the Gryphon replied rather impatiently: `any shrimp could have told you that.'

`If I'd been the whiting,' said Alice, whose thoughts were still running on the song, `I'd have said to the porpoise, "Keep back, please: we don't want YOU with us!"'

`They were obliged to have him with them,' the Mock Turtle said: `no wise fish would go anywhere without a porpoise.'

`Wouldn't it really?' said Alice in a tone of great surprise.

Oh, Alice! CH. 23: Ravens and Writing Desks

Stamps: My Cute Stamps - "Spunky Nature" & "You're Tweet"
Supplies: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist & Crafter's Workshop 6x6 Template

CHAPTER 23: Ravens and Writing Desks...

The Hatter opened his eyes very wide on hearing this; but all he said was, "Why is a raven like a writing-desk?"
"Come, we shall have some fun now!" thought Alice. "I'm glad they've begun asking riddles. — I believe I can guess that," she added aloud.
"Do you mean that you think you can find out the answer to it?" said the March Hare.
"Exactly so," said Alice.
"Then you should say what you mean," the March Hare went on.
"I do," Alice hastily replied; "at least--at least I mean what I say--that's the same thing, you know."

Hello everyone!

This week, we challenge you to use BIRDS on your card or papercrafting project!

Be sure to upload your card or creation using InLinkz at the Oh, Alice blog here!

My samples today are ATCs. I printed an excerpt from 'Alice in Wonderland' on plain old printer paper, stamped My Cute Stamps blooms on it, cut them out, layered with pop dots, and edged with Stickles. The backgrounds were created with Glimmer Mist and Colorbox inks used with the newest Crafter's Workshop 6x6 templates (there are 12x12 versions as well). Love these as glimmer mist screens!

Oh, Alice! Ch. 19: Twinkle, Twinkle...

Stamp: Sweet Pea Stamps - Ching-Chou Kuik's "Mad Tea Party" Oh, Alice Challenge: Twinkling, Glittery, or Sparkly

CHAPTER 19: Twinkle, Twinkle...

"Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you're at!"

You know the song, perhaps?'

`I've heard something like it,' said Alice.

`It goes on, you know,' the Hatter continued, `in this way:--

"Up above the world you fly,
Like a tea-tray in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle--"'

Here the Dormouse shook itself, and began singing in its sleep `Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle, twinkle--' and went on so long that they had to pinch it to make it stop."

Hello out there! It's a beautiful day here in Wonderland and a twinkling one at that! We are wrapping up one FABULOUS month with a super fun, no-pressure challenge! We are going to ring out the month of June with a Twinkle!

That's right, just use something Twinkling, Glittery, or Sparkly on your card or creation this week and post it on Inlinkz at the Oh, Alice! Blog.

For my sparkly supplies: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in: Sweet Clover, Patina, Peach Delight, and Pink Bubblegum.

Release Day at The Greeting Farm!

Head over to The Greeting Farm for NEW RELEASES!! THREE new Cheeky Cherry stamps, are now available: Cheeky Nurse, Cheeky Sailor, and Cheeky Beauty Queen! There is also a new Oliver & Amelia set!

For today's ATC's I used Memento ink in Potter's Clay to give it a sort of sepia/vintage look. The main Copic colors I used on each ATC were E40, E33, E30, E11, YR0000, YR000, E000. I then added some soft colors to each of them.

To make the glimmer mist edging:
I cut up a doily placemat. I srayed it with Tattered Angel's glimmer mist in Gold. I then sprayed a puddle of Coffee Shop on my working surface, which is usually just a piece of recyled cardboard (or you can use a craft mat). And, then I slid the edge of the doily through the puddle, just to get the edges. I then let them sit for about 15 minutes to dry. You can use a heat gun, but if you are not careful, you will singe your doily. I find it best to air dry doilies.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm just barely catching up from last week, so I apologize if I haven't made it to your blogs lately! Thanks for your sweet comments!!
