One of my entries for the TGF Gardener DT call. There are so many talented gals vying for spots. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed. For this journal, I colored Princess Anya in many shades of purple Copic Markers and added a little sparkle, Snow Angel glimer mist, and a little grunge, Olive Vine glimmer mist. And, I highlighted her hair in Seafoam glimmer mist. The background is a cool trick I discovered while experimenting with my Cuttlebug. It is made of Fantasy Film.

"Unity & More" Challenge

It's Hip Hop Thursday over at the ultra cool Unity blog. Today's challenge was to create a card and matching envelope. I adore this bunny stamp! It's big, and so versatile! For this card, I used Unity's US-218W Tea Time Toile Background, USK-114-6 What a Pal Bunny, the word "Hoppy" from USK-114-3 Hoppy Easter Words, and USK-114-1 Dot to Knot Ribbon.

So many things on my to do list. One of them being to make some new checkbook and debit/ID holders like the ones above. It will be a lovely create & coffee day. I have the new My Little Shoebox papers and K & Company Que Sera Sera to inspire me today!

"CASE that Anya" and "Sketch for Candy"

This is my card for the CASE that Anya Challenge at Club Anya. Our mission was to case a card from the TGF Galleria. I chose WickedPixie's gorgeous Pixie Anya card. The wings are by B Line Designs. I glimmer misted them in Huckleberry, Twilight, and Sunkissed Peach. I added some Fantasy Film accents. That beautiful paper directly behind Anya is from K & Company's new Que Sera Sera line. And, I cannot resist giving them my favorite color hair in Copic's Cool Shadow (my all time fav color) and Aqua.




And, here's my submission for the TGF Sketch for Candy, featuring Princess Anya. The butterfly is from the set Sweet Deal. All colored with Copics, a little Snow Angel Glimmer Mist in Anya's hair and finished off with some Stickles. The challenge was based on Marie's great sketch:

A Mermaid til Next We Meet........

Until then, here's an old mermaid card I did with one of my favorite techniques. I used sponge daubers to apply several colors of VersaMagic over an embossed image. The mermaid stamp is by Ducks In A Row and the floursishes are Autumn Leaves.

Twhooo Many Owls!

I have an addiction to owl stamps. This adorable owl is one of my new favorites by My Cute Stamps and the set is called You're Tweet! It's a large solid owl and makes for an easy card to whip out. Gives your hand a break after all that Copic coloring!!

This is a new set by Crafty Secrets called Fairyland. This card is currently on display at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in the new Crafty Secrets section! Love this line! Colored with Copics, and yes, I colored the flowers and nest in with glimmer mist. I can't help myself. ;o)

Club Anya First Sketch Challenge

These are ATC's based off the Club Anya Sketch Challenge #1. I then designed a card to attach them to that was also based on the Sketch. I cut an ATC sized glassine envelope to place the ATC's in. They feature TGF's Mermaid Anya and Princess Anya all colored in Copics. The seahorse was created with a Martha Stewart punch.

And that yummy black and cream cardstock is by Graphic 45. It's an older release, but one of my favorites!!

ATC Project Day!

So, I helped teach ATC's to a 3rd Grade class yesterday. Here's some of the samples I made for them. This was the first time the kids made ATC's and they really enjoyed it. I saw so much creativity and was so impressed! Since it was their first time, we decided to prep some stuff for them. We pre-stamped some images on ATC cards. And some additional ones in case they wanted to cut them out and pop dot them. Those pop dots sure were popular, too. Guess who was the most requested?? The "pirate monkey"!! Otherwise known as the monkey from TGF's Sweet Deal set.
In case you're wondering, the dino and the rocket are from the Pink Paislee Vintage Pop set. Love that set!

Each child made 5 cards and in the end picked names of other classmates to swap with. I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any photos of the kids' cards. Maybe next time. Since, they all seem to want to make more!

Mermaid Bling

Busy making Valentine pressies....Mermaid necklaces!

These are made with good old Shrinky Dink and the beautiful TGF Mermaid Anya stamp. I used alchohol inks to color two of them and my Copics on the other.

And, in very exciting news...I WON the TGF Valentine Challenge!!!!!!!!

Valentine Challenge Pt. II

Part II of my TGF Valentine Challenge.
This one is my Sea of Love Mermaid Anya card. The background is another Cuttlebug creation. I applied layers of alcohol ink, ink rubbed it in black, and misted with Glimmer Mist in the new summer LE Riptide. I then used a craft blade to cut some of the waves, inserted hearts punched with the fiskars squeeze punch scalloped heart. Anya's tail is embellished with Imaginisce's Rainbow Blooms in blue.

Now for a little Unity love.
Here's the new, awesome, AND eco-friendly, Unity Stamp Company packaging. These are some card and ATC samples for my LSS. I just adore this "Boom Goes my Heart" stamp! I am a big fan of the Unity stamp system. If you want to try them out in person and live in San Diego, click on the link in my side bar to Cool Scrapbook Stuff. I will be doing demos once the next shipment of Unity arrives. They will be getting the complete line of new releases soon! Which means "Boom Goes my Wallet"!

TGF Valentine Challenge

My entry for The Greeting Farm's Valentine Challenge. One of my favorite TGF stamps is from the Anya line. This is Mermaid Anya. If you would like to participate, details for the challenge are here.

I have been Cuttlebug-ing everything lately. So many possibilities. The background on this card was Cuttlebug embossed, then I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Vintage Pink, Snow Angel, and the new summer LE color Cherry Limeade (LOVE this color). It is a cherry pink with greenish/blue duochrome in it. Gorgeous color! I then ink rubbed it with Nick Bantock's Lamp Black. The mermaid trio is colored in many shades of pink and red Copics.

Go check out Tattered Angels' new summer color release. They are gorgeous! I'll post something with the new Riptide, Lime Twist and Dreamsicle very soon.

Bunny Factory

My first post!! Finally! I feel like a celebration is in order.

Just a test post for now. Creating this thing has worn me out and I have nothing cute or clever to say. But, I do have some cute things to post.

The 'Lucky Bunnies' set from TGF are some of my favorite stamps. Hop on over and get yourself some! (Apparently, I get cheesy when I'm tired.)

The bunnies are out of control and it isn't even Spring yet.......

I love to have a bunch of pre-made bunnies. I'll stamp a couple sheets of them at a time. (No, they didn't just multiply on their own...though that would be nice.)

The card below, I did in under 5 minutes (not counting the bunny heart). I stamped the main images with Versafine Onyx and then Glimmer Mist'ed (two words you'll see A LOT on my blog) the whole piece. Then I added one of my prefab bunnies and tada...a very fast card!

I'll be back soon....still lots of work to be done on this blog. Whew!
