New Releases at The Greeting Farm Today!

ETA: Below is a sneak peek of some of the projects I'll be posting tomorrow. This is from the Down on the Pond set.

Today is release day over at The Greeting Farm! You can purchase all the new sets here. There are some AMAZING sets today!!! If they are sold out by the time you get there, never fear, Marie will restock them!!

This is my favorite of the new releases, it's the Never Ever stamp set. I'll be creating a lot with this set!!! I'm such a huge Peter Pan fan. Who doesn't love Tink??! And, Marie has designed the cutest little Tink stamp EVER!!!

I am so thrilled that Marie is creating Storybook themed sets!!! There is also a Wonderland set that I have pictured below.

Here is a close-up of my card. I colored in with Copics. I mainly used Moss, Mignonette, Lime, Frost Blue, Aqua, Buttercup, Sand, Light Walnut, Skin White, Blush, and Anise.

I used Glimmer Mist to splatter the background and highlight some of the designs on Wendy's dress. I used Stickles for Tink's fairy dust and wings.

To make the book Wendy is holding, I stamped and cut out a second book. I colored it with the Light Walnut Copic, and then ran it through the Cuttlebug and distressed it with some brown ink, to make it look like an embossed leather vintage book. I then added some pearls to the binding and bling to the dress.

These are the stamp sets I used for the card. Never Ever, Wishing Tree, and Wonderland.

The next release will be April 15th over at Club Anya. There will be all new Anya/Ian stamps!! You don't want to miss it!!

Kodomo & Ten Seconds Studio!

These are the newest mini stamp sets from Kodomo. How cute are they!?!? I made a huge scene when I saw these at CHA. ;o) These and many more, are available at Cool Scrapbook Stuff. Call or email if you want to order some.


Oh, I am addicted to metal embossing! And, I LOVE the gals behind Ten Seconds Studio! You have to go watch some of their hysterical videos. Especially the one with Tim Holtz.

Here's one of the samples I made up for the Ten Seconds Studio metal embossing demo I did this past weekend.


Some of the product is available at CSS , but a lot of it sold out at the demo.
The product is really easy to use. The piece above is made with the plain aluminum metal and I ran it through my Cuttlebug like normal. And, then I colored with alcohol inks.

These are pieces from the demo. I demonstrated how to adhere the metal to chipboard (the little tiles). And, with the other larger pieces, I was showing how to use the Ten Seconds Kabuka Molds (for embossing), the brush tool (for giving a brushed steel effect), the decorative wheels (to make frames/designs), the endless color options when working with alcohol inks, and how easy rub-ons work on the metal!

Friday the 13th...full moons..and DEMOS, oh my.

So, I'm sitting here trying to patch up what has been a crazy week. All ending with our water heater being replaced today. I thought something was fishy with the water heater this week. Especially when it started burping and making funny noises a few days ago. I figured that it had seen the end of its days. And sure enough no hot water at 7am this very cold morning. Typical. So, there's lots of banging and clattering going on as my new water heater is being installed.

On a brighter note, I will be demoing lots of great product this weekend at Cool Scrapbook Stuff. Oh, my gosh, it's a mad love bird.......


and he's headed straight for us!


and he HATES the camera!

So this is my 16+ year old love bird that I hand raised. Taught him to perch, fly and to be a brat. I've never clipped his wings, so he loves to fly around the house and wreak havoc.
He doesn't like being in his cage (can't you tell by that sad look in the pic above...he looks like he's in birdie jail), so when he's in, there is a lot of protesting going on. Unfortunately he has no clue he's a bird, so he loves to run around on the bottom of his cage. He loves to burrow in things. Anything really, boxes, bags, blankets, so we have to be really careful. In his cage he must have teepees and tunnels to run and hide in. He's not happy today, because he has to stay in the cage while the water heater is being worked on. Uh-oh, grumpy bird!

The card above features the newest release Forest Friends and Fairy Chloe. I just got these in the mail yesterday and couldn't resist so I made this card around midnight. [The background tree is from Wishing Tree.] Be on the lookout for many more Fairy Forest cards real soon!!!! I used Copic Markers to color in the fairy and the deer and then sprayed them with Snow Angel Glimmer Mist.

Prima Donna Road Tour and the Case of the Curious Card!

I made these projects in class today with the AMAZING Donna Salazar! Donna's class was a part of the Prima Donna Road Tour. One is a hanging layout and the other is a banner that says "Wish". I learned so many cool tricks from her. She brought all sorts of pretty baubles and sprays. It was a feast for the eyes! She let me pick my own color scheme, but you can see her beautiful original version here. The kits for this version are for sale at Cool Scrapbook Stuff, while they last. You can also have them shipped. And, let me tell you, there is some cool stuff in here that Donna herself designed!!!
My layout page isn't quite finished yet. It needs a photo, some lettering and some bling still.

Donna is an awesome instructor. If you ever get the opportunity to take a class with her, don't pass it up!

And, just for fun, here is one of the overspray sheets made with Donna's beautiful sprays!! How fun is that!!

Here is my entry for the Case of the Curious Card challenge over at TGF. We were to CASE a card by the brilliant Kristine. This card features TGF's Best Mates stamp set. I colored in with Copic Markers and outlined in one of my favorite colors: Mauve Shadow. I Stickled the skull on her shirt in red for a little girlie bling.
